FoneTool enables you to back up essential data—including photos, music, videos, contacts, and messages—from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a computer. This ensures your information is secure and easily restorable when needed.

Step-by-Step Backup Process

Prerequisites for Backup

1. Install FoneTool on a Windows computer.

2. Connect your iOS device to the computer using a USB cable.

Step 1: Launch FoneTool

1. Open FoneTool on your computer. Click on "Phone Backup" in the left menu.

2. Hover over "Selective Backup" and click "Get Started".

Step 2: Select Data to Back Up

It will back up the whole directory, when you tick the box of the specific data categories you wish to back up:

  • Photos

  • Music

  • Videos

  • Contacts

  • Messages

If you want to back up specific photos, you need to click the photo icon to expand all the photos and then check the pictures you want to back up.

Step 3: Choose Backup Storage Path

Click on "Backup Storage Path" to select the destination folder on your computer where the backup will be saved.

Step 4: Start Backup

After selecting the data and storage path, click "Start Backup" to initiate the process.

Notes:

  • When deleting any version in the task, it will not affect other backup versions.

  • When the device is uploading photos to iCloud or updating photos to the device from iCloud, FoneTool will skip these photos to backup.
