How to enter or exit the recovery mode

This article mainly introduces the recovery mode function of FoneTool Repair.

If your device is lagging, fails to shut down, or becomes stuck in recovery mode, you can quickly enter or exit Recovery/DFU mode to restore normal operation or prepare the device for repair. The Recovery Mode/DFU Mode feature helps users address common iOS system issues without performing a full system repair.

Preparation

Before using Recovery/DFU mode, ensure the following:

  1. Your iOS device is connected to a Windows PC via a USB cable.

  2. FoneTool Repair is installed and running on your computer.

Enter into/Exit Recovery mode

For certain iOS system issues such as device freezing, inability to turn off, or being stuck in recovery mode, you can resolve the problem simply by entering or exiting recovery mode without performing a full system repair.

Step 1. Click on the “Recovery Mode” module.

Step 2. To enter Recovery Mode, select one of the options on the left.

Step 3. if your iOS device is connected to the computer, but the screen is locked, the following message will appear:

Please unlock your iOS device and click "Device is Unlocked" , then click "Start" to enter into the recovery mode.

After successfully entering Recovery Mode, click "Confirm" to return. Your iOS device is now in Recovery Mode.

Step 4. To enter DFU Mode, select one of the options on the left.

Step 5. After clicking "Start", please follow the steps illustrated in the figure to initiate the enter process.

Step 6.  To exit Recovery/DFU Mode, choose the options on the right.

In conclusion, the Recovery Mode/DFU Mode feature offers a quick and reliable way to resolve issues like device freezing, failure to power off, or being stuck in recovery mode. Without requiring a full system repair, users can easily enter or exit these modes, making it a safe and efficient solution for urgent iOS problems.
