This article mainly introduces how to jailbreak iOS devices on Windows computers and its impact
Jailbreak iOS is the first thing you must do to bypass an activation lock via FoneTool Unlocker. This article will introduce which iOS devices support skipping iCloud activation locks and how to jailbreak iOS devices on Windows computer.
Note: All Apple security updates are lost after jailbreaking iOS, which makes the process exceptionally delicate. The user must be aware of the repercussions before performing such actions.

1. Go to WinRa1n website (https://winra1n.net/)and download the tool compatible with Windows (Windows 10 x64-bit and above).
Install FoneTool Unlocker (https://www.fonetool.com/unlock/) on your computer to install Apple device drivers and ensure the computer can recognize your iOS device.
2. Use a USB cable to connect your iOS device to the Windows computer.
3. Make sure your computer is connected to the internet before beginning.
4. Temporarily disable any security software or firewalls on your computer to avoid interference with the jailbreaking process.
1. Open the WinRa1n tool and connect the iOS device to the computer. If you see a message that the device is not trusted or needs to be unlocked, follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Enable the Checkra1n 0.12.4 option and press the Next button. This will initiate activating the recovery mode on the connected iOS device.
3. After the device enters recovery mode, the tool will guide you to activate DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode:
Click Start in the tool.
When the instructions highlight, press and hold the iOS device’s Power and Home buttons simultaneously. Do not release them.
Wait for the next step to highlight, then release the Power button but continue holding the Home button until the tool switches to the jailbreak page.

6. When the tool shows All Done, the device will return to an operational state. Click Done in the tool to finish the process.
For First-Time Jailbreaking, let's take WinRa1n as an example::
1. Open the WinRa1n tool and connect the iOS device to the computer. If you see a message that the device is not trusted or needs to be unlocked, follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Choose Palera1n 2.0.0 beta7, select Rootful, and check Create Fakefs. Click Next.
3. After the device enters recovery mode, the tool will guide you to activate DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode:
Click Start on the tool.
When the instructions highlight, press and hold the iOS device’s Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously. Do not release them.
Wait for the next step to highlight, then release the Power button and continue holding Volume Down.
4. Execute COPING FILE TO FAKEFS. The tool will create a fake file system on your iOS device, which can take about 10 minutes. Do not touch the device during this time.
If any errors occur, force restart the device and repeat the process.
5. After creating FakeFS, click Done to return to the tool's main page.
6. Select Palera1n 2.0.0 Beta7 Again, click Rootful and deselect Create Fakefs, and click Next again to re-enter recovery mode.
7. After the device enters recovery mode again, the tool will guide you to activate DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode:
Click Start on the tool.
When the instructions highlight, press and hold the iOS device’s Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously. Do not release them.
Wait for the next step to highlight, then release the Power button and continue holding Volume Down.
8. The tool will perform the jailbreak process automatically. Wait for the tool to finish, and your device should return to an operational state. Click Done to complete the process.
9. If jailbreaking fails multiple times, please tick Force Revert to delete the FakeFS and restart the process as described above.
Note:
IOS devices using A11 chips, such as Phonex, iPhone8, iPhone8 Pus, etc., if screen lock is set Passwords, Touch ID, Face ID, Apple Pay, and other content can cause jailbreak failures. Please erase all device content and settings then proceed with the escape.
If the Palera1n 2.0. beta7 option is selected and the Rootful method cannot be selected for jailbreaking, it will be grayed out. Please first set IOS devices enter recovery mode by clicking on the icon of the WinRa1n tool to pop up the operation menu, and selecting to enter recovery mode, then restart the WinRa1n tool to choose the Rootfu method for jailbreaking.
Once the device is successfully jailbroken, you can use FoneTool Unlocker to bypass the iCloud activation lock and gain full control of the device.
