ICloud Activation Lock is a security feature primarily designed to protect all personal data and your privacy on your iPhone or iPad, especially in the event of loss or theft. After enabling iCloud activation lock, you can remotely lock your iOS device through iCloud. In addition, it helps with the descent of your device.

However, there is also a common situation where you forget the activation lock credentials, or you have just received a second-hand iPhone or iPad whose original owner did not unlink the activation lock from your iCloud account. In this case, you need to remove the iCloud activation lock.

Preparation

Jailbreak the iOS device on computer first before removing an activation lock via FoneTool Unlocker. Please refer to the link.

Download and run the FoneTool Unlocker software on your computer.

How to remove icloud activation lock

1. Run FoneToo Unlocker, connect the jailbroken iOS device to the computer using a data cable, and click Remove iCloud Activation Lock.

2. Click Start, and a consent agreement window will pop up, mainly prompting about the impact of removing the activation lock on the device.

3. After completion, click "Back to Home Page".

Attention:
1. The iOS device is in jailbroken state, and some functions cannot be used normally
-Unable to make phone calls using SIM card, and unable to access the internet using cellular data
-Unable to make FaceTime calls and send iMessages messages
-Unable to log in to a new iCloud account in the settings
-Unable to use iTunes related functions normally
2. Restarting, resetting, or upgrading an iOS device will once again trap it in iCloud activation lock and restore it to an unjailbroken state.
3. For iOS devices using A11 chips, such as iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, etc., after skipping iCloud activation lock, do not set lock screen password, Touch ID, Face ID, Apple Pay, etc. on the setup wizard page, and select 'Do not transfer apps and app data'. After entering the mobile desktop, the above content cannot be set. Otherwise, it will re-enter the activation lock.
