By following these detailed steps and precautions, you can successfully remove the screen passcode and regain access to your iOS device.

Note:

If Find My iPhone was enabled on the device before, you’ll see the message: “This device is locked. Enter the Apple ID and password to activate.” when setting up the device.

You must enter the same Apple ID and password that were previously used on this device. This is part of Apple’s Activation Lock, a security feature designed to prevent unauthorized use of a lost or stolen device.

If you don’t remember the corresponding Apple ID or password, you won’t be able to proceed with the device setup.

FAQs

Q: Will FoneTool Unlocker cause data loss?

A: Generally, removing the screen passcode, Apple ID, and Screen Time passcode will not result in data loss. However, removing the iOS Screen Passcode will factory reset your device, which may erase data. It is recommended to back up your data before proceeding.

Q: What is iOS system firmware?

A: IOS system firmware, in simple terms, refers to the "operating system" of iOS devices such as iPhone and iPad. The firmware usually exists in. ipsw format, and users can download the corresponding version of the firmware for system installation.

Q: What are Recovery Mode and DFU Mode?

A: The Recovery Mode and DFU Mode are special interactive modes that iOS devices can enter when performing system upgrades or downgrades.
If your iOS device is just lagging, apps are crashing, or you encounter minor issues during system update or restore, try Recovery Mode first.
If your iOS device is completely bricked (e.g., won’t turn on, keeps rebooting, or isn’t recognized even in Recovery Mode), then you’ll need to use DFU Mode for a deeper repair.
