How to Use Two-Spot Mode in FoneTool VirtualLocation
Two-Spot Mode simulates continuous GPS movement from a start point to an end point at a selected speed. Use it to observe how an app responds as the device location changes along a route.
Typical Use Cases
Navigation and map testing. Plan a route through several turns to check voice guidance, upcoming-turn prompts, and location-based road alerts without driving. An alternative or off-route simulation can help test recalculation if the navigation app accepts the simulated updates.
Fitness app testing. Simulate a run or bike ride to inspect route drawing, distance updates, and split-pace statistics. Review how the app responds to a pause or speed change. GPS simulation alone cannot validate calorie estimates or measurements that also depend on motion or heart-rate sensors.
Live tracking demonstrations. Move between a pickup point and a destination while demonstrating a delivery or ride-hailing interface to a team or customer. Observe the moving marker, arrival estimate, and arrival notification in your test workflow.
Personal trip sharing. Use a planned route to demonstrate an on-the-way status in a location-sharing app, such as while arranging a surprise arrival. Check how the app displays the updates; the shared status represents simulated movement rather than a recorded journey.
Preparation
- Install and open FoneTool VirtualLocation on your Windows PC.
- Connect your iOS device with a USB data cable. Unlock it and tap "Trust" if prompted.
- Keep the device connected throughout the operation. If several devices are connected, confirm the selected device before making changes.
Open Two-Spot Mode
Step 1. Select "Two-Spot Mode", read and accept the disclaimer, and click "Enter".
Set and Plan the Route
Step 2. Review "Start Point", which uses the device location by default. To choose another start, select the field and click a map point or select a search result.
Step 3. Select "End Point" and choose the destination on the map or from search results. Check the S and E markers.
Step 4. Choose walking, cycling, motorcycle, or car, then adjust the speed slider. Under "Mode", select "One Way" or "Round Trip". For Round Trip, set "Number of Trips" to a value up to 100.
Step 5. Click "Plan Route" and wait for the available routes. Compare distances and estimated times, then select a route from the list or its colored line on the map. Choose the straight-line option if available and appropriate for your test.
Tip: To change a point before planning, select its field and choose another location. Removing a custom start restores the original start; removing the end clears the destination.
Start and Control Movement
Step 6. Click "Start Moving". Wait for any required components to download. The position marker follows the route, and the software displays the speed and remaining time.
Step 7. If the left panel is collapsed, reopen it using the edge arrow. Click "Pause Moving" to hold the position and "Start Moving" to resume. Use enabled controls to adjust settings. To change the route or unavailable settings, click "Cancel", confirm, and plan the route again.
Finish the Trip
Step 8. When the destination is reached, click "OK" in the success message.
Tip: If movement fails, read the message and resolve the issue before clicking "Retry". Keep the device connected and unlock it if requested.
Other Settings
The toolbar on the right side of the map provides the following controls.
Device List. Click the phone icon on the right toolbar to view the device name, model, and iOS version. Select the device you want to use and check the Current Device indicator.
Favorites. Click the star beside Start Point or End Point to save a location. Click "Open Favorites" to view saved places and select a location for the active field.
Center the map. Click the target-shaped icon to center the map on the device's current coordinates.
Zoom. Click the plus or minus button to zoom in or out. You can also use the mouse wheel.
Switch Map. Click the map button to switch between road and satellite views.
Restore/Refreshthe real location. Cancel any active movement and click the circular-arrow control. Verify the real position in a location-aware app on your iOS device.
Summary
Two-Spot Mode is suited to a journey with one start and one destination. Set the points, choose a route and speed, then start the simulation.
