FRP Bypass Open Settings Not Working? What to Do

If frp bypass open settings not working has stopped your progress, check the link or touch controls, then choose account verification or a suitable FoneTool Unlocker method.

If Open Settings does nothing during an FRP bypass attempt, first check whether you activated the link correctly or whether the shortcut cannot open Settings on your phone. If Settings opens but the next option is missing, that is a different problem.

An Open Settings button is only a shortcut. It does not remove Google verification by itself. This article explains what to check and possible methods to bypass FRP verification.

If the problem starts before you reach the Settings shortcut, use the broader frp bypass talkback not working checks first.

FRP Bypass Open Settings Not Working: What Happens?

Look at the result of your last action:

  • The button is highlighted or read aloud: TalkBack may have selected it without activating it.
  • The webpage will not load: Check the internet connection before testing the shortcut.
  • The page loads, but Settings will not open: The app shortcut may be unavailable or blocked.
  • A different settings page opens: You may have opened browser, app, or accessibility settings instead of the phone’s Settings.
  • Settings opens, but a required control is missing: The next step does not match the options available.
  • Google verification returns: Opening Settings has not resolved FRP.

Keep the exact error message if one appears. “The page will not load” and “the page loads but cannot open an app” need different responses.

Method 1. Activate the Link With TalkBack Controls

Use this check if tapping Open Settings highlights the button or reads its name aloud without opening it.

TalkBack changes how touch controls work. With its default gestures, one tap selects an item; a double-tap activates it. See Google’s TalkBack gestures for the standard controls.

Step 1. Tap Open Settings once and listen for its name to confirm that the correct item is selected.

Step 2. Double-tap the screen to activate the selected link.

Step 3. Check what happens. If Settings opens, the issue was activation. If an error appears or nothing changes, note that result before continuing.

This check corrects a touch-control mistake. It does not make an unsupported shortcut work or remove FRP.

If TalkBack is off, use a normal tap. Do not enable it simply because a webpage contains an Open Settings button.

Method 2. Check the Webpage and Settings Shortcut

Use this method when the shortcut is on a webpage. First separate a loading problem from an app-opening problem.

Step 1. Check whether the page has loaded fully. If the browser displays a connection error, return to the available Wi-Fi screen and connect to a working network.

Step 2. Return to the browser and use Reload or Refresh, if available.

Step 3. Select Open Settings again. If the browser shows an app-opening prompt, read it and confirm that the destination is the phone’s Settings app before proceeding.

If the page loads but the shortcut still fails, record the error or response. A Settings shortcut depends on the browser being able to hand the request to an installed app. A fully loaded page does not prove that this action is allowed during setup.

Downloading another APK will not necessarily fix this problem. If the new method relies on the same blocked Settings shortcut, you may stop at exactly the same point.

If you are using Google Assistant rather than a webpage on an A53 5G, see Samsung A53 5G Google Assistant Not Working. A voice-command failure needs a separate check.

Method 3. Complete Verification with the Previous Account

You do not need to open Settings to sign in during normal setup. If you know a Google account previously synced with the phone, use it on the verification screen.

Step 1. Use Back to leave the browser or app and return to setup, where available. Connect the phone to Wi-Fi.

Step 2. On the Google verification screen, enter the email address or phone number associated with the previously synced account, then tap Next.

Step 3. Enter the password and tap Next. Complete any additional verification requested.

Once the account is accepted, follow the remaining setup prompts.

If setup offers your previous PIN, password, or pattern, you can use that displayed option instead. A newly created Google account does not replace the previously synced account requirement.

Forgot the password? Recover the account on another phone:

Step 1. Open Google Account recovery, enter the account identifier, and select Next.

Step 2. Follow the identity checks. Select Try another way if it appears and the current check is unavailable.

Try Another Way

Step 3. After recovery, return to the locked phone and sign in. Follow any waiting instructions shown.

For a second-hand phone linked to someone else’s account, ask the previous owner to complete verification personally.

Method 4. Use a PC Bypass Tool -FoneTool Unlocker

If account recovery isn't possible, try FoneTool Unlocker. It's a PC FRP bypass tool offering multiple removal methods for Samsung devices. FRP removal doesn't erase device data.

Choose the option that matches your phone:

  • Android version: Select the matching group, such as Android OS 11/12/13 for Android 12.
  • Chipset: Select MediaTek devices or Qualcomm (Snapdragon) for the corresponding processor.
  • Universal (One-Click Removal): Consider this alternative when the system version or chipset choices do not fit, after confirming support.

Prefer the matching Android version or chipset when available.

💡 Tip: If Settings is accessible, check Settings > About phone > Software information for Android version. Check Settings > About phone > Processor, if available, or use the exact model’s official specifications. If Settings is blocked, use existing device records rather than guessing the installed version.

Step 1. Launch FoneTool Unlocker on Windows and click Start for the Samsung device unlock feature.

Unlock Samsung Device

Step 2. Connect your phone as required. On Remove Google FRP Lock from Samsung, choose the matching system version or chipset.

One Click Removal

The Samsung Qualcomm unlock solution requires a Samsung EDL engineering cable, rather than a standard USB cable, as specified in the Samsung unlock instructions.

Step 3. Click Remove Now and follow the prompts to activate test mode on your device. Keep the phone connected while the removal process runs.

Next

After completion, continue setup and check that you can use your own Google account normally.

What If Settings Opens but You Cannot Continue?

Check the title of the screen. Browser Settings, TalkBack Settings, and the phone’s main Settings are different places.

If the correct Settings app opens, compare the next required action with what is actually available:

  • An option is missing: You cannot follow that step as written.
  • A button is greyed out: Repeated tapping will not make it available.
  • An app page opens without the required controls: Reaching that page is not enough to complete the method.
  • Setup still requests the previous Google account: Verification remains unresolved.

Do not stop Android Setup or disable Google Play Services simply because you can reach an app list. Access to a setting does not establish that changing it will solve FRP.

At this point, choose an alternative that does not depend on the missing control. The Bypass FRP without TalkBack options can help you make that choice.

FAQ

Can I Fix the Shortcut by Installing a Settings APK?

Not necessarily. An APK still needs an available installation process and permission to open the required functions. Installing a file does not guarantee that setup will allow access to Settings or remove Google verification.

Should I Factory Reset the Phone Again?

Another reset does not replace the required account verification. It may return you to the same setup screen without fixing the shortcut. Identify the failed action or choose a different method first.

Conclusion

When FRP bypass Open Settings is not working, check whether the problem is touch control, webpage loading, or the app shortcut itself. If Settings opens but the required control is missing, stop repeating that step. Use the previous account where possible, or choose a supported FoneTool Unlocker method when a Windows PC is available.
