Samsung A53 5G Google Assistant Not Working During FRP Setup
Fix samsung a53 5g google assistant not working during FRP setup by checking the screen, restoring account access, or choosing a supported FoneTool Unlocker method.
Trying to open Google Assistant through TalkBack on your Samsung A53 5G, but nothing happens? Check whether you are still in TalkBack or have reached Assistant. If Assistant opens and understands your request but asks you to sign in, move to Google account verification.
Hearing TalkBack read the screen doesn't mean Assistant is running. Even when Assistant responds, Google verification may still remain. Start with the screen you can reach now to find the right next step.
This article covers an A53 stuck at Google verification after a factory reset. If an earlier accessibility step is failing, see FRP bypass TalkBack not working.
Samsung A53 5G Google Assistant Not Working: What Do You See?
Match the result on your phone to the relevant option:
| 👁🗨 What you see | ✅ What to try |
|---|---|
| TalkBack reads the screen, but Assistant does not appear | Check whether TalkBack opened Assistant |
| Assistant shows a connection error or does not receive your words | Check Assistant’s connection and voice input |
| Google asks for an account you previously used on the A53 | Sign in with the previous account |
| You recognize the account but forgot its password | Recover previously synced Google account |
| Account recovery is unavailable, and you can use Windows | PC alternative: Use a FRP bypass tool |
Start with the matching option below. If Assistant recognizes your words but cannot open Settings, skip the input checks and continue with Method 3 or Method 4.
Method 1. Check Whether TalkBack Opened Assistant
If your A53 reads buttons aloud but Assistant does not appear, check whether you are still in TalkBack. A button may be selected without being activated.
Step 1. Look at the current screen. TalkBack settings or a TalkBack tutorial means you are still using the screen reader.
Step 2. Tap once on the available button you want to open. Listen to its label to confirm you selected the correct item.
Step 3. Double-tap to activate the selected button. Check whether Assistant appears or another TalkBack screen opens.
If Assistant opens, continue to Method 2. If the required entry is missing, go to Method 3 and sign in with previous Google account.
Method 2. Check Assistant’s Connection and Voice Input
If Google Assistant opens but cannot process your request, read its response before changing anything. A network error needs a connection check, while missing or incorrect words call for an input check.
Step 1. If Google Assistant reports a connection error, return to the available Wi-Fi setup screen. Select a working network and complete any connection prompts.
Step 2. Return to Google Assistant through the available entry. Tap the microphone button if shown, then speak clearly.
Step 3. If Assistant provides a keyboard button, tap it and type your request. This helps check whether the problem is limited to voice input.
If Assistant receives the request but asks for sign-in or cannot open Settings, continue to sign in with previously synced account below.
If Assistant displays your words correctly, speaking louder will not resolve the restriction. When the problem is specifically opening Settings, see FRP bypass Open Settings not working.
Method 3. Sign In with the Previous Google Account
If you remember an account previously synced to Samsung A53 and its password, sign in on the verification screen. A new account will not replace it. You do not need Assistant to complete this step.
Step 1. Return to the A53’s setup screen and connect to Wi-Fi.
Step 2. Enter the email address or phone number for a previously synced Google account, then your password. Tap Next to continue.
Step 3. Complete any additional identity check and the remaining setup. confirm you can use the phone normally.
If the verification screen offers a previous PIN or pattern, you can use that displayed option instead. Enter the screen lock requested by the phone.
For a secondhand A53, ask the previous owner to complete verification personally. If the account belongs to you but you cannot remember its password, continue to Method 4.
Method 4. Recover the Account if You Forgot the Password
If you forgot your Google account password, recover it on another device. Once you regain access, return to the A53 and sign in with the new details.
Step 1. Open Google Account recovery in a browser on another phone. You can also perform account recovery on a computer.
Step 2. Enter the account’s email address or phone number and click Next.
Step 3. Select a way to sign in and complete the available identity checks. Use Try another way if it appears and you cannot complete the current check.
Step 4. Create a new password if prompted. Return to the A53 and sign in with the recovered incredentials.
If the A53 displays a waiting period after the password change, follow that message before trying again. If you cannot restore account access, consider a PC FRP bypass tool as an alternative.
Use a PC FRP Bypass Tool as an Alternative
If account recovery is unavailable and you can use a Windows PC, consider FoneTool Unlocker. It offers multiple FRP removal methods for different Samsung devices you own or are authorized to service.
These methods fall into three groups. The Galaxy A53 5G uses Exynos 1280 and originally shipped with Android 12, though updates may have changed the installed version.
- Android version: For an A53 running Android 12 or 13, start with Android OS 11/12/13, provided the device is supported.
- Chipset: The A53 uses Exynos, so skip MediaTek devices, Qualcomm (Snapdragon), and the Qualcomm-only Android OS 16 option.
- Universal: If no version option matches, consider Universal (One-Click Removal) as alternative.
One thing to note: Samsung FRP removal feature does not erase device data.
Step 1. Open FoneTool Unlocker on Windows and click Start for the Samsung device unlock feature.
Step 2. Connect the A53 as instructed. On Remove Google FRP Lock from Samsung, select the appropriate version or chipset.
Step 3. Click Remove Now and follow the instructions to activate test mode. Wait for the removal process to finish.
After completion, finish setup on the phone and confirm that you can use your Google account normally. For other approaches that avoid accessibility shortcuts, see bypass FRP without TalkBack.
FAQs
Will Another Factory Reset Make Google Assistant Work?
Another reset does not guarantee that Assistant will become available. It also does not supply the account details needed for verification. Start with the option that matches the screen you can already reach.
Will FRP Removal Restore Files Deleted by the Reset?
No. Removing FRP does not bring back files deleted by the reset. After you regain access, check your account for existing backups.
If Assistant understands your request but cannot continue, stop repeating the command. Sign in with the previous account or recover its password. If neither works, consider a supported Windows alternative that fits your A53’s Android version and Exynos chip.
